The Treasurer is elected to serve the citizens of Surry County as professionally and efficiently as possible. The Treasurer shall be responsible for the collections, disbursements and investment of public funds levied by taxes and other fees authorized by the Surry County Board of Supervisors. The Treasurer will submit on a monthly basis, or at the request of the Board of Supervisors, a financial report regarding the status of the public funds.

CITIZENS OF SURRY COUNTY, VIRGINIA
The Surry County Treasurer’s Office has installed a payment drop off box for the convenience of the citizens of Surry County. The drop off box is located in the rear of the Government Center (45 School Street, Surry, Virginia) at the far end of the parking lot near the Sheriff’s Department entrance.
Citizens using the drop box to submit payments are advised to include a check, certified check or money order in a sealed envelope with payment stub or clearly indicate name, address and contact number of the taxpayer along with information detailing account/bill number where payment should be credited. The Treasurer’s Office will not be responsible for cash payments deposited in the drop box.

February 26, 2016: Taxpayers may now make inquiries for Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes through BAI.NET. Individuals may check their account balances and receive duplicate receipts. The option to make payments via BAI.NET will be available soon.
