COVID-19 Economic Recovery – How you can help!

WeNeedYourHelp

How can you help Surry County businesses and tourism attractions recover from COVID-19? Glad you asked!

There are two promotional campaigns that you can participate in to bring positive attention to Surry, its businesses, and tourism assets. Your contributions could have a direct effect on the economic recovery of our community!

“Discover Our Secrets” - Resident Sentiment Campaign

Studies show that the number one reason people choose to travel is to spend time with friends and family. The need is going to be even greater following the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, and Surry County needs to be positioned to take advantage of newly emerging travel trends.

If you love Surry County like we do, we would appreciate your input. Consumers in general tend to place a higher degree of trust in personal recommendations – and who better to tell them all the great things that they can experience with their family and friends in Surry than our own residents!

Take time today to open the Participation Guidelines & Entry Form and answer eight simple questions, submit a photograph – and let our staff do the rest! Your recommendations may be used on our tourism website and social media platforms to help promote visitation to the County in the Fall of 2020; thereby, increasing visitor spending which will give our local economy the boost it needs!

Six Weeks of Summer Outdoor Photography Challenge

Surry County Tourism is excited to announce our first ever photo challenge! We are going to test the boundaries of your creativity while taking a look at Surry County through YOUR lens. Photographers are encouraged to submit photographs of landscapes and nature photography within Surry County. The challenge is free to join – all you have to do is enter using the link provided below.  Deadline for entry has been extended.
