The Surry County Farmers’ Market will open May 7th. Lasonya White, Market Manager, is pleased to announce that the Market will offer the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP provides families with their basic nutritional needs to get them through temporary hard times. We are pleased to incorporate this as this will assist those in need during a pandemic, says Lasonya White.
A Surry County Farmers’ Market postcard was sent out to households within Surry County offering a $10 off punch hole when $50 has been spent. A customer will use this punch card during the Farmers’ Market to receive the $10 off.
This year, the Market will have more vendors and events for our citizens to access fresh fruits and vegetables and activities.
Below is the Farmers’ Market Event Schedule (May-Oct):
The 2021 Farmers’ Market season is May – October. The Market will be located under the Farmers’ Market Pavilion at 45 School Street Surry, VA 23883.
